Atelier Wen, best known for its iconic “Perception” series, is an independent watch brand that seamlessly blends Chinese culture and craftsmanship with Western design philosophy and thinking. The brand was founded in Beijing in 2016 by Robin Tallendier and Wilfried Buiron, both originally from France.

This particular model features a hand-crafted guilloché dial, created by China’s only master guilloché engraver. Each dial requires approximately eight hours of meticulous handwork, resulting in a depth and refinement that cannot be replicated by machine production.

The exceptionally refreshing dial color, named “Piao (缥)”, is said to represent a mysterious, silky, mist-like shade of blue, evoking a sense of elegance and quiet poetry. Its appearance subtly changes with the light, further enhancing its refined character.
